Bruce Crandall's medal Regiment, during Crandall's visit to Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, March 30. Crandall was awarded the medal of honor for his heroic actions in the Battle of Ia Drang in 1965 and continues to show his support for today's soldiers.
