Staff Sgt. Elvin Esguerra, 593rd Special Troops Battalion Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear non-commissioned officer, gets the thumbs-up from a group of soldiers as they prepare to enter the CS chamber on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. During the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear training exercise hosted by the 593rd Sustainment Brigade, soldiers became familiarized with their protective masks and the effects of orto-chlorobenzylidene-malononitrile, commonly referred to as CS gas.
