Oregon Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Cossey (right), Readiness non-commissioned officer for Alpha Troop, 1st Squadron, 82nd Cavalry Regiment, based in Lebanon, Ore., swears-in during a re-enlistment ceremony at the Rubkut Range in Oman, Jan. 19. Cossey’s unit traveled to the Persian Gulf country for a company-level field training exercise involving light infantry tactics with the Royal Army of Oman. The U.S. Army Central-sponsored event was designed to share knowledge and build diplomatic relations.
