AFL completes non-lethal weapons training

Armed forces of Liberia personnel practice proper take down techniques during a non-lethal weapons skills course at Edwin Binyah Kesselly Military Barracks, Liberia, Feb. 28. More than 200 AFL soldiers participated in the three-week training provided by U.S. Marines from Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force 12, Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily, Italy. The course was established to train the AFL on how to assist local police forces in handling large-scale domestic disturbances without resulting to using deadly force.
