Explosive ordnance disposal exercise displays transition progress

An Afghan National Army soldier ties into a ring-mainline for use with proper explosive ordnance disposal at a safe blast site near Camp Mike Spann March 15. The blast was part of the International Security Assistance Force mission as an opportunity to evaluate the skill level of the ANA 4th Kandak, 1st Brigade, in the safe disposal of unexploded ordnance. ISAF Regional Command North supports Afghan National Security Forces in close coordination and collaboration in providing security and disrupting insurgent activities in order to protect the population, secure the highways in order to set the conditions for economic, social and cultural development in key terrain districts.
