ANA, Marines discuss Afghan culture and religion

U.S. Marine Maj. Victor Ruble, the Regimental Combat Team 5 effects officer, speaks to Marines with RCT-5 following a class on Afghan culture and religion here, March 12. Afghan National Army Lt. Col. Sultan Mohammed Sadeq (right), the 1st Brigade, 215th Corps religious and cultural affairs officer, spoke to the Marines about the history of Afghanistan and proper handling of religious material. He encouraged Marines to consult their Afghan security forces counterparts with any questions on the handling of religious material, and stressed that the mutual understanding of culture and religion by Afghan and coalition forces id vital to the continued growth and progress of Afghanistan.
