Through the use of a night vision device, a U.S. special operations force soldier checks his surroundings during a nighttime event, March 8, in the town of Maukuria, outside of Georgetown. The training event is part of Exercise Fused Response 2012. This 10-day training exercise is part of the U.S. Southern Command's theater security cooperation program. This exercise is aimed at improving interoperability between the forces and increase military capacity and capabilities.
