Students from local San Diego high schools observe a laser light demonstration experiment Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific’s Photonics Lab while touring during Federal Information Technology (IT) shadow day. IT Shadow Day is designed to provide high school students a unique opportunity to observe the federal IT workforce, shadow an IT professional and pursue a career in the IT field. As the Navy's Information Dominance Systems Command SPAWAR strongly encourages all students to explore careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.
