BAF airmen earn Cavalry gold spurs

Golden spurs are applied to the boots of competitors who complete the challenges at the Spur Ride at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Feb. 21, 2012. The Spur Ride is a series of mental and physical tests that evaluated leadership, technical and tactical proficiency, and the ability to operate as part of a team under high levels of stress and fatigue, under both day and night conditions. Spur Holders are then inducted into the Order of the Spur.
