Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, after receiving a farewell gift, Feb. 27, at the Highlander brigade headquarters on East Fort Bliss. Twitty is heading to Afghanistan to assume the role of deputy chief of staff for communications for the International Security Assistance Force. Nearly four years ago, on March 4, 2008, Twitty became the very first commander of the Highlander Brigade.
