An HH-1N Huey from the Marine Corps Air Station Search and Rescue Unit flies over the parade deck during exercise Desert Impact 12, Feb. 14. The SAR Unit was flying Marines role-playing as victims to Yuma Regional Medical Center. The exercise simulated a microburst, a strong and damaging gust of wind, striking the air station and causing mass casualties. Personnel from the air station as well as several local, state and federal agencies assisted in the exercise, providing life support and other emergency services.
