Local community members visit with Marine Air Group 39 Marines at information booths set up during the family marriage expo at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 9. Volunteers and community members provided relationship and family information for the Marines. Each booth was set up to educate Marines on the importance of relationships with friends, family or other acquaintances. “We ‘re getting the community involved and bringing them together here so they can support the Marines and teach them to have long, healthy relationships,” Lt. Commander Dennis M. Wheeler, a Navy chaplain with MAG-39 said. “If we can increase the bond between a husband and wife then we will have been successful.”
