Australian army Warrant Officer Andrew Shore, with the 3rd Royal Australian Regiment Recon Platoon, jumps out of a DHC-4 Caribou with a MC5 freefall parachute during exercise Talisman Saber 07 (TS07), June 17. This biennial exercise is designed to enhance the combat readiness and interoperability between U.S. and Australia military forces in support of the Global war on terrorism. It is conducted in Australia and focuses on crisis action planning and execution of contingency response operations. TS07 is the largest-ever joint/combined training exercise in the region consisting of more than 20,000 U.S. and 7,500 Australian personnel conducting land, sea and air evolutions.
