German Army Lt. Col. Klaus Sasse from Dresden, Germany, sights in with his compound bow during day two of the Marine Corps Trials practice sessions. The Trials are being held at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 16-21. More than 300 wounded, ill or injured Marines, Marine veterans and international service members will participate in the second annual Marine Corps Trials. The event, which is hosted by the Wounded Warrior Regiment, will include individual and team competition in sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, swimming, cycling, shooting, archery, and track and field. Four teams, East, West, Veteran and International, will go head-to-head for team gold. The international team will have military athletes from seven nations, including the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Australia, Germany, Columbia and the Netherlands.
