British Royal Marine, MNE Joe Townsend from Eastbourne, England, takes advantage of the Marine Corps Trials swim practice. Townsend is swimming for the international team at the Trials, which are taking place at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Feb. 16-21. The event, which is hosted by the Wounded Warrior Regiment, will include individual and team competition in sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, swimming, cycling, shooting, archery, and track and field. Four teams, East, West, Veteran and International, will go head to head for team gold. The international team will have military athletes from seven nations, including the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Australia, Germany, Columbia and the Netherlands.
