Gurr passed Aug. 5, 2011. Cpl. Adam J. Buyes passed Nov. 26, just weeks before he was scheduled to return to Okinawa. 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, returned from a seven-month deployment in December 2011.
