Afghan civilians and service members attend a building and structures class during a civil engineer course at Kandahar Air Wing, Afghanistan, Jan. 28, 2012. The trainees are receiving specialized training in skills such as welding, electrical wiring, and carpentry in order to maintain buildings that were recently transitioned to the wing. Seven civilians and 11 service members are taking the eight-month course. They will be the first engineers of Kandahar Air Wing's civil engineer squadron.
