U.S. Marines, British Royal Marines and Canadian army soldiers practice techniques during a period of Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instruction aboard the USS Kearsarge Feb. 3. American and British Marines fight together in Afghanistan and regularly hold joint training. American Lance Cpl. Nicholas P. Carranza said Marines may find themselves in a situation where they need to take down an adversary without a weapon.
