New solar-powered packing facility could change supply-demand paradigm for Afghan farmers

Maj. Erich Beriel candidly talks with Abdul Rahman, renewable energy engineer, who installed the solar panels on top of the new Marjeh Fruit and Vegetable Packing Facility. The solar panel-powered renewable energy system is capable of delivering 12,000 watts of electricity and cooling the building down 40 degrees Farenheit.
