Spc. Stephanie Geier, 20, from Redwood Falls, Minn., poses with Sam Bradford, a quarterback with the St. Louis Rams at Camp Army Life Support Area, Kuwait. Geier coordinated onsite visits for Bradford and three other professional football players and two cheerleaders while filling in for the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation representative who was on leave. Her unit’s employment group focuses on translating “soft” skills into a civilian equivalent. Geier is employed but leaves the deployment with enhanced skills which prove to be valuable to employers back in Minnesota. Geier is deployed with the 134th Brigade Support Battalion, Minnesota Army National Guard and will return home early summer 2012.
