High Speed Vessel Swift-Southern Partnership Station 2012

U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class, Jorge Juarez, assigned to the Marine Corps Detachment, embarked aboard High Speed Vessel Swift, assists a Peruvian Marine from Batallon De Infanteria De Marina No. 1, on the proper way to hold his weapon, prior to firing, at Zona De Entrenamiento weapons range, as part of HSV-Southern Partnership Station 2012. The two Marine Corps will spend three weeks conducting subject matter expert exchanges and conducting practical exercises on areas that will include basic rifle marksmanship, patrolling in a desert environment, urban combat tactics and demolition techniques. HSV-SPS is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
