Tucker's Crossing was constructed during a 46-hour mission by the South Dakota National Guard's 200th Engineer Company. The bridge was named after platoon leader, 1st Lt. Joshua J. Lien's newborn son, who was born back home during the building of the bridge. The bridge links Bayazo Village to Highway 1, a vital route for security forces and the Afghan population.
