Santa Maria, Calif., native Gunnery Sgt. Michael Hernandez , the main entry point officer in charge for 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, is inducted into the Honorable Order of St. Barbara. “I always told myself that some day I’d be up here, and I’m very grateful, and it means a lot to be a part of this community,” said Hernandez, an 18-year artillery veteran.
