Oxnard, Calif., native Maj. Jiemar Patacsil, the Regimental Combat Team 5 fire support coordinator, receives the St. Barbara’s Medal from Carson City, Nev., native Master Sgt. Max Robertson, the 2nd Battalion 11th Marine Regiment, field artillery chief. The medal is presented to Marines who usually have more than 15 years of artillery experience and have been on multiple artillery deployments.
