A British soldier surveys the Afghan plains while halted during a foot patrol in the district of Nahr-e Saraj, Helmand province. Soldiers from the British Army's 2nd Battalion, The Rifles and Danish soldiers from the Danish Battle Group provided security and assistance in Operation Shamali Kamarband, an Afghan-led route and compound clearing initiative throughout the district.
