Members of the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team security force scan their sectors during a site assessment of the Dowry Rud Check Dam Jan. 21. The Kandahar PRT SECFOR is from the Rhode Island National Guard 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion of the 182nd Infantry Regiment. The PRT works with government officials at the district and provincial levels to build sustainable infrastructure capacity.
