A bagpiper plays Amazing Grace during the memorial for the late Chaplain (Lt. Col.) David L. Spears, former 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) chaplain, during the ceremony held in his honor Jan. 12, 2012, at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Chapel at Fort Bragg, N.C. Spears spent nearly 20 years ministering across the Army as a chaplain, with seven of those years spent at 3rd SFG.
