Physical fitness motivates, bonds Afghan and American women

Afghan air force females receive instructions prior to a workout session at Kabul International Airport, Jan. 18, 2012. U.S. Air Force Capt. Vanessa Vanden Bout, a 29-year-old Force Support Squadron adviser with the 439th Air Expeditionary Advisory Squadron from Vermilion, Ohio, initiated the creation of a physical fitness class for women of the AAF, with a focus on learning how to work out properly and safely with an ultimate goal of educating the women about the benefits of a daily workout regimen.
