The tour of the facility was part of Capel's three-day visit, which was geared towards learning more about the mission in RC(S), as well as meeting with soldiers and senior enlisted service members to gain a better appreciation for their challenges and successes in the region. His major emphasis to service members at every level was the importance of putting Afghans in the lead by encouraging them to conduct more and more missions, training and operations independent of NATO forces.
