Brandon Finona-Gardner, a varsity football player and sophomore at Monterey High School in Monterey, Calif., rips a football out of the air during pass and receiving drills during the Junior Rank Proving Ground National Combine at Chase Field Jan. 2. The combine featured 300 of America's rising high school stars and focused not only on talent but payed special attention to character, academic performance and attitudes that most reflect the Marine Corps' values of honor, courage and commitment. Finora-Gardner's 2011 varsity stats include: 14 receptions (98 yards - one touchdown), seven sacks (85 yards), 26 solo tackles, 25 assisted tackles, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery for a touchdown.
