An Iranian mariner greets a U.S. Coast Guardsman, assigned to U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Monomoy. Monomoy rendered assistance to six Iranian mariners, who had to abandon their dhow, Ya-Hussayn, after its engine room flooded. Monomoy is assigned to Commander, Task Force 55, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
