The Honorable Habibullah Galib, Afghanistan minister of Justice, addressed Afghan National Army and U.S. Army soldiers Dec. 27, 2011, during a ceremony for Afghan National Army military police graduates. More than 60 ANA soldiers completed a six-week course of advanced individual instruction that emphasizes secure and humane care and custody of detainees in accordance with international standards and Afghan law; the course is the first of two phases of instruction required to serve as military police in the Detention Facility in Parwan.
