Marine Corps Gen. John Allen, commander, International Security Assistance Forces Afghanistan, promotes a soldier assigned to the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Dec. 25. Allen spent the day visiting with soldiers all across Afghanistan, presenting some of the soldiers with awards, promotions and coins for their efforts in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
