Lance Cpl. Paulette A. Thompson, a warehouse clerk, assists expeditionary airfield technicians on Ie Shima Dec. 5 in completing a re-surfacing project by painting the center line on the only landing helicopter deck in the Pacific. Thompson, a Marine with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, is participating in the exercise Ryukyu Warrior 12. Ryukyu Warrior is an annual Marine Air Command and Control Systems training exercise, which gives squadrons and agencies within 1st Marine Aircraft Wing the opportunity to be involved in group simulated exercises
