Col. Aslam and Col. Abdul Rauf of the Afghan National Army's 215 Corps step out of a Marine Corps UH-1 "Huey" at one of the Los Angeles Police Department's helicopter landing pads in downtown Los Angeles Dec. 1. A delegation of five senior ranking Afghan military and police leaders came to southern California to see how their U.S. counterparts train and work. The visit is also a way to build relationships and trust to lay groundwork for further progress during I MEF (Fwd)'s upcoming deployment.
