Maj. Gen. Sayed Malouk, the corps commander for the Afghan National Army 215 Corps and Maj. Gen. Nabi Jan Mullah Kihl, the deputy commander of the Afghan Uniform Police 707 Regional Headquarters, step out of a Marine Corps UH-1 "Huey" at one of the Los Angeles Police Department's helicopter landing pads in downtown Los Angeles Dec. 1. A delegation of five senior ranking Afghan military and police leaders came to southern California to see how their U.S. counterparts train and work. The visit is also a way to build relationships and trust to lay groundwork for further progress during I MEF (Fwd)'s upcoming deployment.
