Soldiers from the 4th Squadron, 9th U.S. Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team (Advise and Assist), 1st Cavalry Division, provide security outside of Joint Base Balad, Iraq, as logistical convoys depart the base during the transition of JBB. The 4th Sqdn., 9th Cav. Regt., played an integral part in the security of the base during the last two months of its transition to the Iraqi government.
