Mud-caked shoes and legs were the norm at the Kabul Satellite Turkey Chase 10K race, Nov. 27, at the Kabul International Airport. Despite the damp, chilly conditions, 106 runners from various nations participated in the race. What started out as a small effort has grown to over a hundred people," said Air Force Lt. Col. Eduardo Monarez, the event's organizer and Bethesda, Md., native.
