Sgt. Leon Anderson Jr., a food service specialist with Marine Wing Support Squadron 371, prepares steak for the Marines of 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion for their Thanksgiving breakfast at Patrol Base Alcatraz, Nov. 23. The food service Marines are busy preparing for Thanksgiving dinner to include turkey loaf, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and fresh vegetables for a special "home away from home"-cooked dinner rather than the field rations the Marines normally consume on a daily basis. Anderson is a native of Newark, N.J., and is a 2002 graduate of Hillside High School.
