U.S. Marines assigned to Marine Medium Tilt-Rotor Squadron 165, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, perform confined aerial landings at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., Nov. 4. This was the first time that VMM-165 conducted CAL on an expeditionary air field tactical formations with other aircraft. In March 2011, VMM-165 re-designated their squadron from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron when they retired the CH-46E Sea Knight Helicopters and adopted the MV-22 Osprey.
