Staff Sgt. Fransisco Castro, a warehouse chief with 4th Marine Aircraft Wing Site Support and a Tucson, Ariz., native, is preparing for his mixed martial arts fight against Richard Parra III, the Northern California champion, for the California State Amateur MMA Championship. Castro, who was an Arizona wrestling state champion in high school, hopes he has what it takes to get past Parra, who has a strong background in boxing and Muay-Thai.
