Prior to the start of the Veterans Day parade in downtown Knoxville, Tenn., a hand of gratitude is extended to World War II veteran, 2nd Lt. Robert Bailey. Bailey received a Silver Star medal in 2008 for actions that saved the life of a soldier during an ambush in 1945. Also pictured left to right are US Army Reserve Ambassador John Dyess, Maj. Gen. Gill Beck, 81st RSC commander and Bailey's son-in-law, Mary Jo Beck (nee Bailey) Beck's wife and their son, John Beck.
