Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 2nd Aviation Regiment, load an AH-64D Apache with Hellfire missiles at Fort Carson, Colo., Oct. 10, prior to demonstrating combat maneuvering flights and live fire engagements for their families. The battalion is scheduled for a deployment to Afghanistan in January. Unit leadership has been focused on balancing combat training events with family activities.
