Col. Paul Calvert, left, commander of 2nd “Dagger” Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, United States Division – Center and an Athens, Ga., native, addresses members of Stability Transition Teams who have worked with the Dagger Brigade during its deployment in support of Operation New Dawn, Oct. 2 at Camp Liberty, Iraq. STTs consisted of field grade officers who lived and worked directly with their Iraqi Security Forces counterparts, providing knowledge and experience which will enable the ISF to more effectively provide security for Iraq’s citizens.
