Sailors and Marines wait for a landing craft air cushion to take off of a beach during Exercise Dawn Blitz, Oct. 2. The exercise helps prepare Marines for amphibious landings. The LCACs ability to land without the aid of docks, moorings or other tools makes it invaluable during humanitarian relief efforts.
