An aerial view from a ferris wheel at the west end of the annual 2011 Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Air Show gives guests a chance to see the flight line, aerial performances and static displays. This year’s air show theme is “A Salute to San Diego: Birthplace of Naval Aviation.” It features demonstrations by various civilian and military performers including the Blue Angels and a Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force.
