President Barack Obama awards the Medal of Honor to Sgt. Dakota Meyer during a ceremony in the East Room of the White House Sept. 15. The Medal of Honor, the most prestigious American military decoration, was awarded to Meyer for his courageous actions at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty, while serving in Kunar province, Afghanistan, Sept. 8, 2009.
