Maj. Gen. Peter Vangjel [second from left], outgoing Third Army/ARCENT deputy commanding general and a Laconia, N.H., native, listens to a briefing in the Combined Operations and Intelligence Center. Vangjel will be returning to Washington and taking on the role of special assistant to the vice chief of staff of the Army. While serving as DCG, Vangjel worked hard to maintain the Third Army/ARCENT motto of "Ready tonight, sustain the fight and shape the future."
