An MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 embarked aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan transfers an AV-8B Harrier engine from the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Wally Schirra to Bataan. This was the first time this type of lift has been conducted at sea by and MV-22B. Bataan is the command ship of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
