Judge Micheal R. Hogan, a member of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals from the District of Oregon, receives instructions on the M4 rifle from Sgt. Adrian Lopez, a block non-commissioned officer with Weapons Field Training Battalion. Hogan along with other federal judges and guests visited Camp Pendleton, Calif., to participate in live-fire exercises and displays of Marine Corps equipment as part of the United States Courts Ninth Circuit 2011 Annual Judicial Conference held in San Diego.
